What is grouply.com?

grouply.com is a third party service which allows you to manage all of your Yahoo! Groups in a way which may be easier for some people.

Can I use grouply.com to access The Around Again Groups?

No. At this time access to TAAG using grouply.com is blocked.

What's wrong with grouply.com?

As far as abusing your personal information or that of others? Nothing as far as we can tell.

grouply.com seems to be a perfectly legitimate operation running a service which many people might find useful.

If there's nothing wrong with grouply.com, why is TAAG against the service?

There are two primary reasons that The Around Again Groups feel strongly against our inclusion into the grouply.com service:

  1. The services allows "invites" to be sent to Yahoo! Groups. Because TAAG feels strongly concerning the use of appropriate subject lines and proper message content, these invites would be against TAAG's "Rules & Policies".

  2. Each individual TAAG group is it's own community. This is a very important part of what The Around Again Groups stands for. By combining messages from multiple Yahoo! groups, that feeling of "community" gets lost. By continuing local access to each group by login onto Yahoo! Groups, or by receiving our messages in "Digest" format, we feel we can better maintain our online "community" format.
